Byron H. Bierce (1848-1925), son of Chauncey Whittlesey Bierce (1811-1887) and Harriet Brown (1817-1893), was born in Scott, New York. married Ida Cottrell (1851-1928), daughter of John Boardman Cottrell and Sarah Mary Barker, in about 1869. They had one son. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.
