Tobias Bickel (1711-1790), son of John Gothard Böckel and Anna Sybilla Gastenberger, emigrated in 1737 from Germany to Philadelphia, and settled with a brother, George Frederick, in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania.
