Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Abner Chappell down to Colbert Taylor Chappell, husband of the author. Abner was born 13 Apr 1763 in Amelia County, Virginia, to James Chappell and Sarah Hudson. He married Susannah Moore 4 Sep 1786 in Amelia County, Virginia. Description
Christopher Colbert Chappell, son of James Harvey Chappell (1819-1896) and Lucy Ann Freeman (1818-1895), was born 30 July 1849 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. He married Cornelia Josephine Stanley (1854-1934), daughter of John Wheeler Stanley (1827-1862) and Eliza Hester Johns (1828-1886), 1871. They had eleven children. They moved to Texas in 1881.
