John Nickel Rapp (ca.1701-ca.1755) was born in Germany. He married Margaretha Scher. They had two known sons, Jacob (b. 1744) and Simon (1753-1836). Both sons died in Catawba, Clark County, Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Idaho and California.
