Thomas Damon is believed to be the son of Thomas and Rachel Damon. He was baptized in Faversham, Kent County, England in 1627and later immigrated to New England in 1650. He died in Reading, Massachusetts in 1683. His son, Thomas (1658/9-1723), was born in Reading and married Lucy Ann Emerson there in 1683. Deacon John Damon, son of Henry and Abigail (Bachelor) Damon was baptized in Faversham, Kent County, England in 1621. He married Abigail Sherman, daughter of Richard (1577-1660) and Elizabeth Whiting Sherman. John possibly came to America in 1635, first appearing in Dedham, Massachusetts and later settling in Reading. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Quebec, and throughout the U.S.

John Damon, son of John Damon and Miss Gilson, was born in Kent County, England 11 November 1621. He married Katherine Merritt, daughter of Henry Merritt and Deborah Buck, 16 June 1644 in Scituate, Massachusetts. They had thirteen children. John died in about 1676. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York., Illinois, Arkansas and California.
