Lancelot Bell was born 17 Mar 1838 in Woodside Township, Illinois, to Zebulon Bell and Rachel Swingle. He married Lydia Ellen Roberts 21 Mar 1865 in Colorado City (now Colorado Springs). She was born 26 Dec 1844 in Ruddell's Mills, Kentucky to Samuel Knox Roberts and Cecilia Mock. Lancelot died 26 Aug 1899 in Fountain, Colorado. Lydia died 25 July 1932 in Olathe, Colorado. They were the parents of nine children.
