George McGriff (1818-1876) and Jane Doty (1819-1908), daughter of Frazy and Martha Mills Doty, were married in Darke County, Ohio, ca. 1837. They had nine children, 1839-1862. The family migrated to Randolph County, Indiana, ca. 1841, and to Grundy County, Missouri, after 1862. Children and grandchildren lived in Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, and elsewhere. Christopher Foster (1603-1687) married Frances Stevens in 1628, and immigrated from England to Lynn, Massachusetts in 1635. They moved to Long Island, New York in 1642. Their descendant of the eighth generation, Josiah Albertson Foster (1831-1909), was born near Pyrmont, Ohio, the son of Issac Preston Foster (1797-1875). He married Elizabeth R. Michael Flory (1811-1896), son of Joseph Flory (1769-1823), and great grandson of Joseph J. Flory (1682-1741), the immigrant, was born in Montgomery County, Ohio. He married Eva Zook (d. ca. 1837) in 1834. He married 2) Hannah Wogoman (1827-1917), daughter of John and Sarah Weidner, Wogaman, in 1853. They had three children, 1854-1859. Descendants listed lived in Ohio and elsehwere.

Smith Carver was born 1809 in New Jersey. He came with his parents to Clinton County, Ohio in 1817. He married Rachel Coney in 1829. Rachel was born 1812 in New Jersey. They had eight children. Smith Carver died in 1848 and his wife in 1885. Rachel Coney was listed as Rebecca Carver in the 1860 census at Centerville, Montgomery County, Ohio.

John Vaughan (1755-1838) was born in Wales and immigrated to America with his father and brothers. He settled in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia and married Phebe Fallis in 1790. Christopher Schaar (1780-1831) and his wife, Louisa Honning (1777-1861) were both born at Winesburgh (Winesberg), Germany. The immigrated to the United States in 1817 and settled first near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They later migrated to Warren County, Ohio. They had seven children. They both died at Ithaca, Ohio. Johannes Michael Hoblit immigrated to America from Germany in 1832 at age sixteen. He lived first near Philadelphia, and then Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He served with the Westmoreland Militia in the Revolutionary War. He married Anna Van Veigle in 1770. They had ten children, 1772-1787. They migrated to Kentucky and settled in Woodford County. He died ca. 1796. Most descendants listed lived in Kentucky or Ohio.

Christian Wogaman was born after 1760 in Pennsylvania. He married Margaret Kufer, daughter of Peter and Anna Margarette Shedecker Kufer (Cober or Coover), in 1792. They had six or seven children, 1794-ca.1806. The family, with the families of his brothers, William and John, migrated from Bedford (now Somerset County), Pennsylvania, and settled in Mongomery County, Ohio. Most descendants listed lived in Ohio.
