John Barfield I (b.ca.1630/1640) immigrated from England to Nansemond County, Virginia and married twice, dying after 1682. Descendants lived in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky and elsewhere. Descendants are consolidated (alphabetically by given name) in male and female lists.

Johannes Hunziger immigrated from Germany (via Rotterdam) to land near Allentown, Northampton (now Lehigh) County, Pennsylvania in 1849. His son, Johann Theobold Hunsucker, and his family moved about 1773 to land in what is now Catawba County, North Carolina.
