There were four Decker immigrants who came to N.Y. in the 1600's. Jan Broersse Decker came in 1657. He was married to Heyltje Jacobs and had seven children. Jan Geritje Decker and his wife Grietzen Westercamp had a large family. They lived in the same vicinity as the first Decker and the families intermarried. Johannes de Decker came ca 1655 and Gerrit Decker and wife Abigail Ver Planck were here before 1660.

Ellis ancestors immigrated from Wales. The Ellis, Gittins and Shone families were acquainted with each other before coming to America. Edward, the son of Samuel Ellis became the father of William Edward Ellis. The Gittins family consisted of the father, William, Elizabeth Shone the mother, two sons and two daughters. The wives of Samuel Ellis and the wife of William Gittins were sisters. The families settled in and around St. Louis, Missouri.

Description
John Howard Hammond (1866-1930) was the son of Francis Asbury and Alice Howard Hammond of Huntsville, Utah. He married Lavina Matilda Elliker (1866-1954), the daughter of Heinrich Elliker and Elisabeth Lattmann of Cedar City, Utah. They had nine children. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given.
Includes Howard, Elliker, Lattmann, Studer, Edwards, Furrer and other related families.
