Early records contain much bleed-through.
Although the Church was organized in 1727, records survive from 1748. The church was located at Race and 4th St. until 1882 when there began a series of moves. In 1959, First Reformed moved back to the original site on Race and 4th St. and restored the church there. Several churches have been set up by the First Reformed members: in 1763 several followers of Rev. Rothenbuehler left the First Reformed Church...

Description
Church was organized in 1806 when English speaking members left the First German Reformed Church and called themselves the Second Reformed Association. In 1810 the name changed to Evangelical Reformed Congregation and in 1813 to First Reformed Protestant Dutch Church. In 1853 the building was at 7th and Spring Garden Streets; in 1896 church was at 15th and Dauphin Streets.

Church was organized in 1865. During 1884-1894, the church was known as the Church of the Strangers. In 1935 the church merged with the First Reformed Church while both were located in West Philadelphia, now part of Philadelphia.
