James Parks married Elizabeth Davis ca. 1802. Their first child, David, was born February 26, 1803 in Franklin Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. By 1818, the couple had moved to Belmont County, Ohio. The couple had 8 children, all of whom settled in Ohio. Elizabeth died sometime before 1860. James died in 1861.

Johann Heinrich Knoch was born 19 August 1800 in Schrecksbach, Hessen, Germany. His parents were Hans Heinrich Knoch and Anna Elisabeth Faust. He married Katharina Hahn (1795-1855), daughter of Johann Georg Hahn and Anna Martha Schlitt, 23 January 1820 in Holzberg, Germany. They had nine children. John McCollum, father of Daniel and Jacob, settled on Brown's Mountain near Driscol, in Bath County, Virginia in about 1770. Jacob and Daniel McCollum immigrated to southeastern Ohio from Pocahontas County, West Virginia in the early 1800's. Jacob McCollum married Anna, the daughter of John Sharp about 1802.
