Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Bartholomew Kindred. He was born 25 Sep 1761 in England. He came to America with his family ca. 1774. He married Millie Lively 29 Dec 1780 in Virginia. They were the parents of ten known children. Descendants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Oregon, and elsewhere.
Ancestors include: William Kindred and Jane Coulson -- Bartholomew Kindred and Mary Carrick.

Antoni Reuger (1698-1769/1770) married twice, and emigrated in 1737 from Switzerland to Philadelphia, and before 1750 moved to what is now Hampshire County, West Virginia. Descendants (using surnames of Rigor, Riger, Rager, Raeger, Reuger, Reagor, etc.) lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri and elsewhere.

Bartholomew Kindred (1727-1805) was born in England. He later emigrated and settled in Saint Ann's parish in Albemarle Co., Virginia. He married (2) Mary and they were the parents of William (1744-1833), Thomas, Bartholomew Jr. (1761-1827) and Edward Kindred (1765-1831). Family members later lived in Morgan and Wilson Counties, Tennessee and Peoria and Livingston Counties, Illinois. Several generations of descendants are given.

James Kindred (1790-1849) was the son of Bartholomew Kindred, Jr. and Milley Lively, both of Kentucky. Bartholomew descended from an English Kindred family who settled in Albemarle County, Virginia before 1776. James married Judith Beasley in December, 1815 in Lexington, Kentucky, moving his family later to Brown County, Illinois. Family members now live throughout the midwest.
