William Neal Hurley

Joseph Fry (1656-1694) married Elizabeth Johnson some time after the death of her husband Bernard Johnson in 1681.

Both of the families noted in the title came from England early and they and their descendants mostly stayed in the East. These two families are not known relatives nor are some others in the work.

William Selby was born in about 1630 in England. He was transported to Maryland in 1659. He married Mary in about 1680. They had seven children. He died in 1698/99. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland.

The author begins with William Rabbitt who was born in 1693, possibly on Kent Island. The family is traced through William's only son John Thomas Rabbitt and subsequently his childlren, John Thomas Jr., Henry Rabbitt and Mary Rabbitt.

The Maddox family of Maryland is said to descend from early Welsh nobility through the Madogs of Llanfynach who were the Lords of Scethrog and other holdings.
