John Tyson lived in Northampton County, Virginia in 1664. His wife was named Susannika. Their children included Mathias, Anne and Katherine. John died in 1683. Descendants lived in Pitt County, North Carolina. One descendant, Mary Tyson married Benjamin May, the son of John and Mary Stafford May. Alternate spellings include Tice. Joshua Tucker, a Revolutionary War soldier, and his wife, Sarah Wright Tucker, had six children before 1756-ca. 1760. The family migrated from Virginia to the Beaufort-Pitt County area of North Carolina between 1755 and 1761. Joshua Tucker died before 1779. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, and elsewhere.
