Christopher Tatum (1795-1870) was born in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina, and served from Orangeburgh District in the War of 1812. He and his wife, Catherine Gressett (b. ca. 1797), had at least six children, 1821-1840. The family migrated to Mississippi, ca. 1820 or 1821. Christopher Tatum and his wife, are buried in the Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery in Jasper County, Mississippi.

Daniel Murphree was living in Bertie County, North Carolina, in 1747 when he bought land on the north-east side of Cashy Swamp. He moved to Orange County, North Carolina, about 1762. Daniel's land fell in Chatham County when it was orginized in 1770. He died there in 1771 leaving a will that named his wife, Sarah; eight sons and five daughters.

Jacob Simon Linder (1792-1877?) was a son of Daniel Linder. He was born in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina. He married (1) Mary McTyeire (McTeer) (1788-1850). They had five children. He married (2) Delilah (Lila) Kinsey (1828-1891?) 1850. She was a daughter of Lewis J. Kinsey and Sarah Carter. They had seven children. Descendants live in South Carolina and elsewhere.
