George Adam Dietz, son of Johann Adam Dietz and Elisabeth Haas, was born in 1836 in Kratzke, Russia. He married Anna Elisabeth Deines (1836-1923). They had five children. They emigrated in 1876 and settled in Kansas. He died in 1913 in Galatia, Kansas.

Philip Schlegel was born in 1828 in Schoenfeldt, Russia. He married Anna Margaret Kildau (1824-1908) and they had seven children. They emigrated in 1875 and settled in Great Bend, Kansas. He died in 1888 near Otis, Kansas.
