John Loney (1748-1801) was a shoemaker in Johnstown, New York. His wife's name was Catherine (b. ca. 1749). They were married ca. 1767. John was an United Empire Loyalist and they immigrated to Canada ca. 1784 where they settled in "Indian lands, Charlottenburgh, Upper Canada" (later Ontario). Traces their descendants. .
