George T. Marshall, son of James Albert Marshall and Ethelind McElree, was born 21 August 1913 on a farm near Silver City, Iowa. He married Anita Helen Bendt, daughter of Herman Bendt and Magdalena Johanna Hansen, 1 February 1939 in Rockport, Missouri. They had six children.
