Byram Combs was a soldier in the Civil War and enlisted in Estill County, Kentucky in 1861. He died in Lexington, Kentucky in 1862. Many descendants lived in Knott County and other places in Kentucky as well as Ohio, Indiana, Florida, South Carolina, Michigan, Virginia, and elsewhere.

William Martin (b.ca.1760) married Susannah Tudor and moved from Virginia to Floyd (now Knott) County, Kentucky about 1806. Johnie Martin (1895-1972), a direct descendant in the fifth generation, married Adam Adams in 1914 and lived in Leburn, Wayland and Mousie, Kentucky. Descendants lived in Kentucky, Ohio, Florida and elsewhere.

Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Alexander Stewart. He was born between 1752 and 1755 in Calloway, Scotland. He immigrated to America ca. 1773. He married first Mary Anderson. She was born ca. 1760 in Virginia. She died after 1793. They were the parents of eight children. He married second Catherine Sheets. They were the parents of one child. He died between January and August of 1835 in Kentucky.
