Floyd R Mason

Johannes Garber Sr. (ca. 1732-1787) married Barbara Miller, daughter of Michael Miller and Susanna Agness Berchtol, ca. 1752. They lived in York County, Pennsylvania and then moved to Frederick County, Maryland in 1768. In 1775 they moved to Flat Rock, Virginia. Early descendants lived in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and later spread throughout the U.S.

Hans Peter Wampfler (1701-1749) lived in Hingsingen, Alsace and immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1741. His grandson, John Wampler (1768-1845) married Magdalina Garber (1768-1855). They lived in Maryland and Rockingham County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Missouri, Ohio, and elsewhere.

Hans Johann "Michael" Miller (1692-1771), who had lived in Switzerland and Germany, came to America with his step brother, Jacob Stutsman II, on the ship "Adventurer" in 1727. They lived in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and in Washington County, Maryland. Michael was married to Susanna Agnes Berchtol (Bechtel), born in 1688. Jeremiah Henry Garst, Sr. was born 4 April 1845. His parents were George B. Garst and Katherine Markey. He married Nancy Grisso (1845-1895), daughter of Hawkins Grisso and Hannah Barnhart, in about 1874. They had five children and lived in Salem, Virginia. Joh. George Klein Sr., son of Jacob Klein and Maria Madgalena, was born 13 Oct 1715 in Germany. He married Dorothea Rebmann, daughter of Conrad Rebmann, in 1737. They immigrated to America in 1738 landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dorothy died in 1777 and George died in 1783. They had seven children. Their children and descendants have lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and other areas in the United States.
