John Emery Morris

Thomas Lincoln (ca.1603-1683/1684) immigrated from England to Hingham, Massachusetts in 1635, and moved before 1650 to Taunton, Massachusetts. Stephen Lincoln (1751-1840), a direct descendant in the sixth generation, served in the Revolutionary War, married Lydia Foster, and lived in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri and elsewhere.

Lydia Foster (1760-1839), the daughter of Ebenezer Foster (1733-1811), a Revolutionary War soldier, and Hannah Parlin Foster (1743-1808), was probably born at Oakham, Massachusetts. She married Stephen Lincoln (1751-1840), a Revolutionary War soldier, in 1779. He was born at Rehoboth, Massachusetts, the son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth Robinson Lincoln. Stephen and Lydia Foster Lincoln both died at Oakham, Massachusetts.

Mary Bruen (1622-1670) immigrated from England to New London, Connecticut, and married John Baldwin after his first wife had died. Daniel Bontecou (1779-1857), a direct descendant in the sixth generation, moved from New Haven, Connecticut to Springfield, Massachusetts and married twice. Includes ancestry in England, France, what became Belgium and elsewhere to about 560 A.D.
