"This family is descended from a Moseley who died in the Great Plague, London ... the spelling had been changed from Moseley to Mousley to avoid difficulty with some legal documents. The name is pronounced 'Moseley'.".
Thomas Mousley was born in 1808. He married Rebecca (1820-1908) in about 1837. They had eight children. Thomas died 23 July 1860 in Ellesmere, Salops, England. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Quebec and New York....
