Barnabas Gallagher/Gallaher (1722-1793) immigrated to York Co., Penn. in 1770 from either Scotland or Ireland. His wife's name is not mentioned, but he had five children. In 1782, he migrated to Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania where he remained until his death. Descendants and relatives have scattered throughout the United States.

Barnabas Gallaher was born about 1722 in Ireland. He immigrated to America in about 1770. He died in 1792 in Greensburgh, Pennsylvania. He was survived by four sons and a daughter. Traces ancestors, descendants and relatives in Ireland, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Washington and elsewhere. The family is related by marriage to Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of President Abraham Lincoln.

Robert Mack, Sr, (b.1764), of Scottish lineage, married Margaret Campbell, and the family emigrated in 1803 from Ireland to Philadelphia in 1803, settling in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania and then moving to Westmoreland (now Indiana) County, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, Iowa and elsewhere.
