Lyman D Platt

Vol. 1 of the Early Mormon Records Series is a composite of four little-used collections from the Nauvoo period of LDS Church history: 1) Record of Members, 1841-1845; 2) 1842 Census of Nauvoo; 3) Members who came into the city since 1841 and those baptized in the city; and 4) a daily log of persons entering the city as recorded by Willard Richards, beginning 31 July 1843 and ending 22 January 1846.

Benjamin Platt (1833-1918) married Mary Greaves and, as converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they emigrated from England to Salt Lake City in 1856, settling in southern Utah. Descendants lived chiefly in Utah, with some living in California and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Alberta and elsewhere in Canada. Includes ancestry in England.
