Bernard Lombard and his family immigrated in 1634 from Tenderton, Kent County, England to Scituate, Massachusetts, and moved to Barnard, Massachusetts in 1639. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, Louisiana and elsewhere. They include Collins, Conant, Knowles, Paine and related families.

Description
Richard Rich came to Truro from Portsmouth. He married Sarah, daughter of Governor Thomas Roberts. His son, Richard was living in Eastham by 1665. He died in 1692. The children were John, Thomas, Richard, Samuel, Sarah, Lydia and Joseph. Descendants remained in Truro.

The Gross/Grose/Groce family of Truro and of Wellfleet were from England. Clement Gross was the father of Isaac and Simon. Simon married Mary Bond in Boston and settled Hingham. They had seven children; Simon, Thomas, John, Josiah, Misah/Micah, Alice and Abigail. There seems to be a close relationship between the Hinkes and Gross families of Welfleet and of Truro.

John Mayo was born in England and was living in Barnstable before 1639. His wife, Tamason or Tamsin died in 1682. All his children were born in England. There were at least eight of them. He was living with his daughter, Elizabeth when he died in 1676.

Hugh DePayne, the Crusader, was the progenitor of the Ipswich family. Stephen Payne, the first of the family to arrive to Kingston, Mass. came in 1635. Eleazer was fifth to emigrate. Thomas was probably the son of Thomas. He had lost one eye. In 1658, he married Mary Snow, daughter of Nicholas. They lived in Boston, but returned to where he died in 1706. They had 8 sons and 2 daughters. Several descendants served in the Revolutionary War.

Samuel Hinckley came to N.E. in 1634 with his wife, Sarah, and four children. His son, Thomas (b. 1618) settled at Scituate and then to Barnstable. In 1639, he married Sarah, she died in 1656. He became Governor of Mass. in 1681. He may have had twelve daughters.
