Matthew Abrahamsen Van Deursen, son of Abraham Van Deursen, immigrated with four brothers from The Netherlands to Beaverwyck (now Albany), New York during or before 1657. Isaac Van Deusen I (d.1796) married Fiche Borghghardt, and established Van Deusen Manor in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, Wisconsin and elsewhere.
