History and genealogy of two German Methodist families who immigrated to Ohio. Margaretha Kalb Ihle, widow of Cristopher Ihle, arrived at Chester, Meigs County in 1835 with her three children. Georg Christian Klein and his wife, Christina Barbara Altrieth, settled in Sandusky County in 1835 with their five children. Genealogical tables and family group records reveal growth of the families and their movement throughout the United States.

Jeremiah Jacobs was born in Maryland in 1745. He married Rebecca Dowden and they had 9 children. They lived in North Carolina and Kentucky before moving to Indiana where they lived until their deaths in 1824 and 1813. Information on many of their descendants is included in this volume. Descendants now live throughout the midwestern states.

Robert (Black Hawk) Stewart (1780-1871) was born in Westmoreland Co., Pa., and died in Jefferson Twp., Clark Co., Indiana. He married 1811 in Clark Co., Ind. Rosanna Long (1795-1858). She was born in Kentucky. Descendants live in Indiana, Kentucky, Florida and elsewhere.
Includes allied families of Applegate, Britton, Colvin, Dierking, Maloney, Ryan etc.

Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Washington and elsewhere.
