Georg Moser (1684-1762), his wife, Eva, and their family immigrated in 1732 from Germany to Philadelphia. Leonard Moser (ca.1726-1782) was one of their children. Leonard settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and worked as a ferryman for Thomas Cresap. Johannes Hunsicker (ca.1710-1800) married Maria Magdaelna Bierre in 1743, and in 1748 the family immigrated from Rauweiller, Switzerland to Philadelphia.
