William John Slayton

Arthur Slayden was born 28 March 1704 in New Kent,Virginia. His father was John Slayden. He married Rachel in about 1728. They had nine children. He died 24 May 1787 in Lickinghole Township, Goochland, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas.

George Slatton was born in 1745 in Fredericksville, Albermarle, Virginia. He married and had fourteen children. He died 26 October 1837 in Jackson, Georgia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas and Texas.

Richard Champney (Camnie) (1607-1669) was born in Messingham, Lincoln, England. He immigrated to America and settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was the father of eight children. Descendants moved from Massachusetts to New York and Missouri. Some moved further west to Utah and Idaho.

Daniel Black was born about 1735 in Scotland, and died in Essex, Massachusetts. He married Faith Bridges, September 1660 in Rowley, Massachusetts. Faith was born 1642 in Rowley, the daughter of Edmond Bridges and Alice. Children of Daniel and Faith were: Margaret (1665), Daniel (1667), James (1669), Mehitable (1671), John (1672), Edmond (1674), and Josiah (1676).

Richard Hamblin married Faith Hedd in Buckland, England and immigrated to Massachusetts and settled in Barnstable. They were the parents of five children. One of their children was William Hamblin (b.1631) who was the father of Nathaniel Hamblin (b.1671). Nathaniel married Mary Pearce and they became the parents of three children.
