Catherine Messam (1821-1894), second child and eldest daughter of Henry Messam and Eleanor Gadsby, lived in Great Casterton and Little Casterton, married George Cotterill in 1841, became a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1849, and immigrated in 1853 from England to New Orleans, Louisiana. William Osborne of Collyweston, Nothamptonshire, Eng. was born about 1550. He had at least three children: Margaret (chr. 1582), Constance (chr. 1583), who married William Flynt in 1603, and William (1586-1645), who married Allis Joyce in 1606 and had 7 children. No attempt is made to follow the descendant who immigrated to Utah.
