Samuel Stalnaker was living in Augusta County, Virginia as early as 1746. Adam, George, and Jacob were his sons. Jacob married Elizabeth Truby and they reared their twelve children in the Tygart Valley. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Kansas.
