Benjamin Munn/Mun (d.1675) emigrated before 1637. He was a resident of Hartford, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts. He married Abigail (Burt) Ball, the widow of Francis Ball and daughter of Henry Burt in 1649. He was the father of Abigail, John, Benjamin, James and Nathaniel. Roswell Shepherd Hill (1843-1925) wqas the fifth child of Abel Shepherd Hill and Almira Usher Hill. He was born in Brazil, Clay County, Indiana, and married Mary Margaret Eaglesfield in 1865. They moved from Eaglesfield, Indiana to Brazil, Indiana and later to Indianapolis. Descendants and relatives lived in Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Missouri, Texas, Arizona and elsewhere.

The ancestor of the Scotts of Buccleuch was a Richard Scott (ca. 1290) of Rankleburn and Murthockstone. For generations, the Scotts of Buccleuch were well known for creating powerful alliances among other Scottish families as well as conductiing border raids into England.
