William Lee Barnes, son of Albert Jackson and Sue Hogsette, was born in Texas. He married Ellen Gertrude Shearer, daughter of Spencer Harrison Shearer and Angie Sparks, 25 January 1891. They had five children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Texas and New Mexico.
