Description
The founder of the Bowdoin family in North America was Pierre Baudoin. He and his wife Elizabeth (c. 1643-1720) has four children, the first three born in France and the fourth probably in North America. In 1686 Pierre and his family moved to North America. At first, they settled in Salem, Massachusetts. Later, they went to Maine and then to Boston, Massachusetts, where Pierre died in 1704. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, New York and elsewhere....

Description
John Trayne, aged 22, immigrated to New England in 1635 with 18-year-old Margaret Dix, on the brig Susan and Ellen, sailing from the port of London. John wife Margaret died at 43 in 1660 and in 1675 he married Abigale Bent. John died in 1681.
