The Graham family, consisting of Robert, Samuel, Anne and Margaret, came to America in 1774 from County Down, Ireland. They settled in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Robert Graham moved with his wife Mary Craig and children in 1782 to Montgomery (now Wythe) County, Virginia. His wife Mary died in 1786 and he remarried in 1790 Mary Cowan. He died in 1811. Thomas Neville was born in about 1732, probably in Nansemond County, Virginia. His parents were Benjamin Nevill and Elizabeth. He married Sarah 8 July 1756. They had seven children. He died in about 1815 in North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina.

Henry Hiestand was born about 1709 near Zurich, Switzerland [?], and married about 1732. He eventually located in Orange (now Page) County, Virginia by 1743. He died ca. 1783. Descendants lived in Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Louisiana, Texas, Illinois, and elsewhere.

Benjamin Gist (b. 1728) was born in Lunenburg County, Virginia. He married Mary Jarrett and they had at least nine children. They lived in North and South Carolina, then moved to Tennessee. Henry Gerrard (b. 1630?) was born in England and came to Virginia sometime before 1656. He had at least three children. The surname later changed to Jarrett. Descendants of both lines live throughout the United States.

Alexander Means Trimble (1839-18810, son of Elisha Trimble and Elizabeth Brown Johnson, married Margaret Ann Shaw (1846-1923), daughter of Charles Shaw and Nancy King. Includes Barnwell, Dunlap, Shearman, Taylor and related families.

Daniel McPherson was born in about 1682 near Inverness, Scotland. He came to America in about 1696. He married Ruth Shires in about 1712. They lived in Kennett Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. They had five children. Daniel died in 1855 in Wilmington, Delaware. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oregon, Texas and elsewhere.
