Description
The first two-thirds of the book deal with the creation of the cemetery, its title deeds, incorporation, officers and trustees, by-laws and proceedings of the Underhill Society of America, and an ode to the memory of Captain John Underill. The latter part of the book gives a records of the interments in the cemetery, most of these interments being for Underhill individuals.

John Underhill (1597-1672) emigrated from England to Holland, and married Heylken (Helena) de Hooch in 1628. They immigrated in 1630 to Boston, and settled in Killingworth, Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York. Descendants and relatives lived throughout the United States. Includes ancestry in England, The Netherlands and elsewhere.
