Stevens Koorts (ca.1600-1684) and his family immigrated in 1660 from Holland to New Amsterdam, New York and settled in what came to be Flatlands, Long Island, New York. Many of his children and grandchildren used the surname Van Voorhees. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, New Jersey and elsewhere. Includes history of the Van Voorhees Association.
