Description
John White (ca. 1602-1673) was baptized in South Petherton, Somerset, England. He married Joan (1606-1654), daughter of Richard and Maudlin Staple-Cooke West, 1627 in Drayton Parish, Somerset. They lived in Drayton for awhile with their two oldest sons before immigrating to Salem, Mass. in 1639. They later moved to Wenham and to Lancaster. They were the parents of nine known children. Five children were born in England, the rest in Massachusetts....

John Barber White (1847- ) born in Ellery Township, Chautauqua Co., N.Y. He married Arabell Bowen (1848-1881) in 1874. He married his 2nd wife Emma Siggins (1857- ) in 1882 and they lived in Kansas City, Mo. This is about his ancestor dating back as far as 1333 and his descendants.

This report of the reunion includes the constitution which was drawn up and approved by The Association of John White's Descendants. It also includes an article entitled: "Historical sketch of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson and one of her descendants / compiled by her grandson in the eighth generation, Rev. E.H. Rowlandson of Brooklyn, N.Y." There is also a listing of members present at the 1897 reunion of the Association.

Description
Nicholas Hodsdon (fl.1635-1678), undoubtedly an immigrant from England, was in Hingham, Massachusetts in 1635, and moved to Cambridge Hill (now Newton), Massachusetts in 1650. In 1656 he received a land grant from Kittery, Maine, and apparently had been living there prior to the land grant. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Kansas, California, Washington and elsewhere.
