John Phillips Sr. (1858-1945) immigrated from England to land near Leavenworth, Kansas in 1881, married Louella Bett Stone in 1775, later moving to Topeka and then to Silver Lake, Kansas. Descendants lived in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and elsewhre. Includes the 1873- 1874 diary of John Phillips Sr. on a round-trip voyage between England and Australia.
