Description
Johannes Schwarzwalder was born in Monchweiler, Germany in 1684 and immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1738. He eventually settled in Virginia and changed name to "Blackwelder." Descendants lived in North Carolina, Illinois, and elsewhere.

Thomas Williams Sr. (d.1692) immigrated from England to Wethersfield, Connecticut, where he and his brother Matthews were the first settlers. Thomas married Rebecca Waterhouse, and later moved to Branford and then to Stepney. Thomas Williams (d.1692), probably an immigrant, was one of the earliest settlers at Rocky, Hill, Connecticut, and by 1661 lived in Wethersfield, Connecticut. He was perhaps a brother of Matthew and son of Richard Williams of Glamorganshire, Wales. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Nebraska, California and elsewhere.
