Description
Chiefly, a record of descendants of Nathaniel Gunn who was born on July 24, 1726 in Hatfield, Massachusetts to Nathaniel Gunn and Esther Belden. He married Dorothy Marsh on March 21, 1745. Dorothy was born on April 22, 1723 as the daughter of Ebenezer and Elizabeth Gillett Marsh. Nathaniel and Dorothy had twelve children, with six of them sons that served in the Revolutionary War with their father. Nathaniel Gunn died on April 22, 1807 when he was 82 years old. Dorothy died on July 23, 1805.
Description
Sewell Gunn was a third generation descendant who was born on September 2, 1784 probably in Montague, Massachusetts. His parents were Elisha Gunn (1765-1841) and Mindwell Carver (1762-1825). He married Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Aaron and Phebe Hart Sackett, and they had at least five daughters. Elizabeth died in 1836 in Fulton County, Ohio. Sewell died at the age of 84 years in 1868 in Fulton County, Ohio. He was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, in Delta, Ohio.
