Description
Joshua Phipps (1764/1766-1857), the father of Peter Phipps, married twice and moved from Virginia to Kentucky and then to Randolph County, Missouri. Peter Phipps (ca.1790-1873/1874) married Nancy Davenport in Wayne County, Kentucky, and moved for a few years in the 1820s/1830s to Fentress County, Tennessee, later returning to Wayne County, Kentucky. Descendants and relatives also lived in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Texas and elsewhere.
