Numbering Peculiarities
Numbering errors: Vol. 6 no. 1 (Feb 1984) is followed by vol. 7 no. 2 (Aug 1984). Vol. 17 no. 4 (Nov 1994) was misnumbered as vol. 18 no. 4 (Dec 1994). Vol. 19 no. 2 (May 1995) was misnumbered as v. 18 no. 2 (May 1995). Number designation vol. 19 no. 4 was skipped. Vol. 26 no. 1 (May 2002) was followed by vol. 25 no. 4 (Aug 2002), which was followed by vol. 26 no. 1 (Nov 2002), which was followed by vol. 26 no. 2 (Feb 2003).
Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Call (and variant spellings) families and their allied families who came mainly from England, France, and Germany. Some settled in Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Virginia in the 1600-1700s. Some focus is on (but not limited to) Wilhelm Kahl or William Call (ca. 1737-1784). Around 1769, William moved from Virginia to Rowan County, North Carolina. During the 1800s, his descendants and other Call families moved to California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Washington D.C. Later descendants also lived in Italy, and in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Nevada, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and elsewhere. Some names of adoptive parents and foster parents are mentioned.
