Microfilm of original manuscript materials loaned by Arthur Franks of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Description
A record of the descendants of Michael Franks. He was born circa. 1725 in Germany of French German descent and died in German Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania in March 1793. It is thought that he is buried in an unmarked grave in Jacob's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. He came with his two sons, Jacob, and Michael Jr. and a daughter Catherine. It is not known for certain if Michael's wife came with them but it is thought that she may have either died en route to America or possibly in Maryland. There may have been a son, Henry, who died on the way to America.
