Description
Robert Watkins Crockett, Jr., was born in Ireland in 1709, the son of Robert Watkins and Rachel Watkins Crockett. He and his wife, Margaret, had eight children, born ca. 1733-1747 in Ireland and Virginia. The family immigrated to America in 1740 and settled in Orange County, Virginia. He died in 1747. His grandson, Robert Crockett, was born in Virginia, in 1770, the son of James and Martha Gay Crockett. He migrated to Kentucky with his family in 1784. He married Martha Cartmill in Fayette County, Kentucky, ca. 1792. They had eleven children, 1793-1812. The family migrated to Ohio in 1812. He died in Logan County, Ohio, in 1822. Descendants listed lived in Ohio, Indiana, and elsewhere.
