Numbering Peculiarities
Volume number changes after four quarterly issues, but issue numbers are continuous "whole" numbers. Vol. 7 no. 27 (July 2001) was misnumbered as vol. 7 no. 26; and vol. 9 no. 36 (Oct 2003) was misnumbered as vol. 8 no. 36. Vol. 11 no. 42 (Apr 2005) and vol. 11 no. 43 (July 2005) were misnumbered as vol. 10.
Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Harris (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, France, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Around 1750, some settled in Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. During the 1800s, some moved into Canada, and to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in Ontario (Canada), and in Florida, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Wyoming, and elsewhere. Some have African, Jewish, or American Indian (especially Creek) bloodlines. Additional information is found on their Web site.
