Description
Caspar Hotes/Hottes was born in about 1595. He married Margaretha Wechesbach 9 February 1619 in Eisenach, Germany. Most of their descendants remained in Germany, many of them living in Groß-Zimmern. Ninth generation descendant, Johann George Heinrich Hottes emigrated in 1906 and settled in Connecticut. Johann was born 10 March 1882 in Groß-Zimmern. He married Susanna Müller (1883-1958) 25 August 1904 in Offenbach, Germany. Some other descendants of Caspar settled in New York, Ohio, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Another branch of the family, descendants of Johann Phillip Hottes (1828-1853) settled in Australia.
