Issue number designations actually began with the 13th = no. 13 (June 1969) issue. Annual issues were assigned ordinal numbers, such as 1st year (Aug 1957), which = no. 1, 2nd year (Aug 1958) = no. 2, 30th year (June 1986) = no. 30, and so forth.

Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Hamlow descendants and relatives of Andrew John Hamlow. Andrew (1841-1914) was born in Dahlsland, Sweden. He immigrated to America in 1869, and in 1870, he married Christine Anderson (1843-1927) at LaPorte, Indiana. Christine was the daughter of Andreas Johansson and Cajas Birynjakson Andreas. Andrew and Christine settled in Waverly, Nebraska in 1878. Their children were: Rosy who married Charles Swanson in 1897; Walter who married Ida Beachell in 1898; Mary who married Albert Anderson in 1900; Oscar who married Grace Mae Anderton in 1902; Sophia who married Ray Walker in 1905; and Mollie who married Manuel Carlson in 1906. Many of their their families remained in Nebraska; others migrated to Indiana, Iowa, and Michigan in the 1800's. Later descendants also lived in Africa, Australia, England, France, Germany, and in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and elsewhere. Information includes anniversaries, awards, birthdays, births, celebrations and gatherings, deaths, employment, engagements, family histories, marriages, obituaries, promotions, reunion reports, special events in the lives of the members, their special projects, travels, and other items of historical and genealogical interest. Years covered are 1841-1986.

The Hamlow Clan was organized in 1935 at Lincoln, Nebraska. Since 1939, the Clan has traditionally held annual reunions in August mainly in Lincoln and Waverly, Nebraska.
