Other Morse families settled in Nova Scotia (Canada), and in Connecticut, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia in the 1600-1700s. During the 1800s, some moved to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec (Canada), and to California, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. Later descendants also lived in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan (Canada), Argentina, Australia, the Bahamas, China, Denmark, England, India, Japan, New Zealand, Prussia, Thailand, all the United States of America, and elsewhere. Some notable Morse's include Jedidiah Morse, the father of American geography, and Samuel Finley Breese Morse, the inventor of the telegraph.
