Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Ayars (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England. Some allied families came from Germany. Some focus is on (but not limited to) descendants of Robert Ayars (ca. 1650-1719) yeoman, who settled in Rhode Island in 1664, and married Esther Bowen. In the 1700's, some Ayars settled in Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia. Another primary ancestor was James "Doc" Franklin Ayars (1841-1916), who was born to Jepthah Ayars and Margaret Thomas in 1841 in Monticello, Missouri. James married Catherine F. Mitchell, had nine daughters, and died in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1916. During the 1800's, some Ayars families moved to Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Ontario (Canada), and to Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in British Columbia (Canada), Australia, and in California, Colorado, Delaware, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and elsewhere.
